BELOW IS VERY IMPORTANT SET-UP INFORMATION FOR ZURICH PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Exhibitor set-up from 9:00 AM to 10:50 AM

Expat Expo is open to the public from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Unloading: Delivery Gartensaal (D).

Important

  • No deliveries or set up is possible before the event day (8th September). Set up time is from 9:00 to 10:50 on the event day.
  • There are limited unloading bays; once you have unloaded you must move your vehicle without delay, to allow others to unload

Guidance

  • If you have large loads to carry, it is suggested to bring a trolley or similar.
  • Put your name and telephone number on a piece of paper clearly visible in your car, in case you need to move it

Parking:

  • Once you have unloaded your vehicle, you must immediately move it to a parking garage
  • All parking options are paid and not included in your exhibitor package
  • The closest large public parking garages are:
  • Parkaus Park Hyatt (3 minutes’ walk)
  • Parkhaus Bleicherweg (5 minutes’ walk)
  • Parkhaus Bellevue (11 minutes’ walk or Tram)
  • Parkhaus Opera (13 minutes’ walk or Tram)

Stand information:

  • Table size is 200cm wide x 54cm deep x 71 cm tall
  • There will be approximately 40 cm between tables and 80 cm behind the table, however these figures may vary depending on your location
  • Tables, chairs and an A4 paper sign with your company’s name on it will be in position when you arrive.(Unless you have asked in advance to have them removed from your stand)
  • Additional chairs can be available on request (latest 2 weeks before the event date)
  • Tables and chairs can be removed from your stand upon advanced request (latest 2 weeks before the event). Tables and chairs removal will not be possible on the event day.
  • There are no back walls, you will either have an open back area, or be back to back with another stand
  • Electricity and white table cloths can be requested at an extra cost (latest 2 weeks before the event)
  • At a minimum, we strongly suggest you bring a tablecloth and decorations for your stand. We do not provide free tablecloths and stand decoration. We further encourage you to design an attractive and engaging presentation – remember; the better your engagement, the better your result will be from your attendance

Electricity:

Electricity must be ordered by discussion with the Expat Expo management team; a description of your energy-using devices, expected power usage, and any safety protocols must be known at least 3 weeks in advance of the event.

Wi-Fi:

Wi-Fi is managed by the Kongresshaus and is free in the building. Expat-Expo GmbH does not offer support or guarantee a connection. If you need an exclusive Wi-Fi connection, please let us know and we will connect you directly with the Kongresshaus to hire this service separately at your own cost.

During the Expo:

  • The Expo closes at 6 PM, PLEASE DO NOT PACK-UP EARLY, which would be a breach of your exhibitor agreement and health and safety regulations (and looks bad to visitors)
  • You may not distribute flyers and other promotional material around the room or in the bathrooms. You must distribute them from your stand only
  • Visitors sometimes try to distribute promotional material. This is not permitted. If you see a visitor distributing material please notify a member of our staff as soon as possible or inform the visitor that it is not permitted

Social Media

  • Use your social media channels to advertise your presence at the Expat Expo
  • Use the hashtag #ExpatExpo in your posts and tag @expat_expo_switzerland so we can see your activity and reshare some of the posts in our accounts too

Name tags:

We do not supply name tags. Please bring your own.

Tips & Suggestions:

  • Don’t just sit there – engage your audience!
  • Smile, be happy, ask open questions (How, Who, What, When, Where, Why)
  • What would make them laugh, smile, or ask more?
  • Set up your stand to be visually appealing and you’re half way there
  • What about a prize draw, free giveaway, or competition?
  • What is it about your company that you want to demonstrate? Use that as your focus for engagement
  • Think long-term. You may make sales on the day, but the real value typically comes long-term, from additional sales, referrals, and brand exposure. Make sure you take names, numbers, add to your email subscribers etc.
